So this person named Jaqueline Davis rang me claiming to be from Guardian cold calls. She said they’d send over a device along with some paperwork. When I tried to check the details she gave to prove it was legit, everything turned out to be nonsense.

A young chap named Thomas contacted me, claiming to represent Guardian Services. He mentioned he was aware I’d been receiving nuisance calls. I pointed out that I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service, but he persisted, questioning why I still receive these unwanted calls, suggesting that the system clearly wasn't functioning. He then went on to say that they would be sending some paperwork to my home address, even going as far as to recite my postcode. I firmly responded that I had no interest in what he was offering and that I’d be disconnecting the call to do a bit of research on his number-if it turned out to be a scam, I’d report it posthaste. And with that, I ended the conversation.

Bit funny actually - this bloke rings me up out of the blue just to ask if I get loads of cold calls! Turns out he was with Call Guardian trying to sell some gadget to stop those annoying calls.
