got a call from this number today, there was loads of noise like it was a busy call centre or something. the guy said he was calling from hmrc about the marriage allowance. when i said i knew what it was, he asked if i was married. i said no and he just hung up on me. definitely sounded dodgy to me. best to just hang up and not get involved!

I can assure you, this is a ruse! Any information you share with this person could be misused! Whatever you do, don't disclose your credit card details, even if they claim it’s necessary to facilitate the £1000 transfer-it's all part of the trickery!
