Got a call from 01165290078 the other day. I could tell right away it was dodgy. Spoke to a woman with an Indian accent, told her I knew it was a scam. She threatened to keep calling me. Since then, I've had about 10 automated scam calls on my mobile. I've blocked each number, but I expect they'll just keep ringing. I don’t pick up anymore. Something really needs to be done about these people - they should be found and locked up with huge fines. They’re just greedy, brainless crooks who are a waste of space. Truly sad and pathetic criminals.

First off, they mispronounced my name, so I inquired about the caller's identity. They introduced themselves as being from “Araura”. Then, out of the blue, they started mentioning HMRC and the term ‘refund’. At that moment, I pointed out that if they were truly in contact with HMRC, they would have my proper surname. That seemed to set her off, as she raised her voice and started talking over me, prompting me to hang up. A few hours later, the same number attempted to reach me again, but I decided to ignore it.
