Some bloke said he was from talktalk's security team, but when I questioned him, he kept saying it wasn’t the sales or help desk. I told him straight up it was rubbish and warned him all calls are recorded, and that he was trying to scam me. After that, he just stopped talking. Waited a bit then ended the call. Total scam artists!

I can't say who rang me as I get loads of calls from numbers I don’t recognise. Now I just tend to let them go to voicemail. If it’s important, they’ll probably leave a message anyway.

Some bloke with an Indian accent hurriedly told me my internet was on the verge of getting cut off and I had to do something quickly! Since I was expecting a call from my doctor, I didn’t bother sugar-coating anything and told him straight up what I thought of him, no filter at all!

A woman with a foreign accent rang my landline, claiming to be from BT's tech support. She mentioned my mobile number and inquired if I was the account holder. Apparently, I had received an urgent text warning me to get in touch to prevent scams, as my account was supposedly at risk. I replied that I didn't possess a mobile and cheekily suggested meeting up, as I found her quite charming. Suddenly, the call cut off. How peculiar!

Upon picking up the phone, I explained that I couldn't chat as I was busy with work commitments. This rather impolite chap then had the audacity to question why I had bothered to pick up in the first place. I promptly told him not to condescend to me and mentioned that I’d be reporting the number. I strongly recommend everyone to block this number if you happen to receive a call; it’s clearly from fraudsters.

I received a rather alarming call claiming to be from Virgin Media, informing me that someone was apparently tampering with my computer. The woman on the line eventually transferred me to a gentleman, and it quickly dawned on me what their intentions were. They instructed me to press the Windows key along with the R key, followed by typing C.M.D. and Netstat. After that, our call simply dropped, but they attempted to ring me back half a dozen times before I confronted them, at which point they hung up promptly. Clearly, this was a scam attempt through and through!

I received a call on my landline here in Nottingham just after 3pm on the 2nd of September 2021. It was your typical scam - a woman with a noticeable Indian accent claiming to represent the 'technical department'. She droned on about something that made no sense, all in a rather poor grasp of English. I clearly stated that I wasn't a Virgin Media customer and had no intention of switching services. When I pressed her on how she had obtained my number, she abruptly hung up on me. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!

Received a call from a woman who sounded like she was from Pakistan. She used my first name, which was a tad unsettling. I flatly told her to "do one" and promptly blocked her number. Honestly, I didn’t bother to pay attention to what she was saying; it reeked of a scam. It’s bewildering how she even got hold of my number, as it's not widely shared.
