i got a call from a guy saying he was part of some government body giving out free home insulation. i asked him what department exactly and he just went "it's the free insulation scheme". when i pressed him again for details, he just cut the call. pretty obvious he was trying to scam me.

A guy rang me up saying he was from a home repair company, asking if I wanted any repairs done. I said no thanks, but he kept going on about possible unseen problems that might be ruining my place and offered a free inspection. To me, it sounded like a ploy to get in the door, spot fake issues, and charge for unnecessary fixes. The moment I said the house was rented out, he suddenly ended the call. This happened round Rossendale - watch out and don’t fall for it.
