I got a call from someone saying they were from EE, trying to sell me a new phone at a discount if I just answered some questions. It sounded dodgy straightaway, so I ended up hanging up. Definitely a scam, no doubt about it.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Vodafone, but when I asked them to prove it, they couldn’t. They tried to tempt me with a 30% discount on my Vodafone plan, which made no sense as I don't have an account with them at all. Then they wanted me to give some personal details for verification. I told them I wouldn’t share any info since it was obvious they weren’t legit. As soon as I said that, they just cut the call right away. Definitely a dodgy call.

At first there was complete quiet, then suddenly someone launched into the usual “how you doing” stuff. I told them straight up I wasn’t bothered, but they cut me off and hung up before I could say more. Felt pretty suspicious to me. The number showed as Manchester, but the caller’s accent was so thick I doubt they’re actually from there.

I’m so done with all these annoying calls, I just ignore them now. My phone actually warns me if it thinks the call’s spam, and after checking the number on who called me, I’ve just blocked it.

In just a couple of minutes, I got four calls from numbers I didn’t know. Right after blocking the first unknown number, another call came through. By the time the third one rang, I had a text from O2 warning me about potential fraud on my account. While I was checking the text, the fourth call popped up, this time with a local number. I picked up and told them straight away I was onto their scam and had reported them. They hung up instantly.
