This bloke wanted me to head over to www.Awesome.com while we were on the line. When I mentioned I was using a Mac, he told me to open Safari. After that, he couldn’t do a thing. I asked if he was a genuine caller, and he said yes, sir. Still, he couldn’t access my computer. I told him to wait until the police arrived, then he could have whatever info he wanted. He just hung up. Pretty obvious it was a scam. He rang back around 4 PM, with a clear accent, probably from Pakistan or India. The number he used was 0161 2562937.

Got a call from some woman claiming to be from EE, sounded like she was from Manchester but her English was a bit off, maybe Indian. Almost hung up when she said “your bill has run out”.

Got a call this morning from a number I didn’t recognise, just let it ring through to answer machine. Didn’t bother leaving a message so I’m guessing it’s just another spam or scam. This makes it the fourth time today already, seems like scammers are really busy now!

Got a call from a totally dodgy number that sounded like it was from some offshore scam operation. The person on the other end barely spoke any proper English and tried to trick me into giving away personal info, pretending to be from a mobile network. Best to just hang up, block it and report straight away.

Id steer clear of these calls. I picked up once and heard nothing. Then they rang again later, similar fake number, and again silence when I replied. Lately, my phone's been buzzing with loads of texts about supposed parcels needing my card info for delivery - be careful with those!
