Received a call yesterday, claiming to be from EE. They were supposedly keen to have a chat about my mobile contract. I couldn’t shake the feeling they were up to no good, so I bluntly referred to them as “scammers.” The chap on the other end, who had an Asian accent, sounded taken aback and questioned my rudeness. I mentioned I had just been tuned into an episode of BBC's Scam Interceptors. In response, he told me to “**** off” before abruptly hanging up.
