The bloke knew my name and started asking if I was the owner of my house, how old I am, and even what brand my washing machine is 🤦♀️😂 He'd sneak in some casual questions alongside the more personal ones. Weird stuff. He spoke with a thick Indian accent and it was pretty obvious he was trying to fish for info. I just made up a bunch of rubbish answers before ending the call. Blocked him straight away, though I reckon they've got loads of different numbers to call from.3 yearsGot a call but didn’t answer, no voicemail, didn’t know the number so I just blocked it.3 yearsThey somehow already have some of your details and even call you by your name when they ring. The woman on the phone will say she isn’t trying to sell anything, just wants to ask a few quick questions that will only take a moment… but then it drags on for ages and there’s way more than a few questions. After about 10 questions and nearly 3 minutes later, I finally hung up - making sure to give them rubbish information. It’s obvious they’re trying to gather more accurate info about you, probably to pass it on or sell it without you realising. She was right that she wasn’t selling anything directly to me, but really they’re "selling" your details behind your back. The best way to handle it is to feed them wrong info, or as soon as they say your name, pretend you haven’t a clue who they’re talking about.
