I believe this is a fraudulent operation.

Since switching my phone provider to EE, i keep getting calls like this. The number they’re calling from is the same as before, but the amount of calls has gone up a lot. Pretty sure it’s just spam, so i haven’t bothered answering.

Every time I answer my phone, the caller just ends the call straight away.

There was a brief pause before a man with a South East Asian accent claimed to be calling from o2. I told him I’ve never used o2 as my provider. When he tried to explain something about o2, I cut him off and asked how he even got my number if I’m not an o2 customer. Without hesitation, he said it was "top secret" and then just ended the call. 100% scam, no doubt about it.

Yesterday, got a call from a woman with a strong accent claiming to be from o2, saying there was a special deal to save me some cash. She sent a couple of texts after and kept asking for more details. She’s called me before, but since I aint got an o2 account, I asked her how she can sleep at night trying to fool people. She started debating, insisting she was legit, but I just hung up.
