The moment I picked up, I just cut the call - totally felt like one of those annoying spam calls.

This number has rung me twice, along with a close variant, and after checking they both link back to call centres in Manchester. One seems to be from Mount Street close to Heron House, and the other from right across on Brazennose Street corner, also near Heron House. Whenever I try to ring back, it just says the number’s not in service anymore. They tend to call daily between around 11 and 11:15, but I keep missing it cause of work. I’ll post more if I learn anything else, hope that’s useful to someone!

I got a call from 0161 524 6256, but didn’t pick up since it looked like one of those spam calls. Then, another number very close to that tried ringing me again, so I just ignored both.

Just a spam call - they cut off as soon as I picked up.

Just a heads up, these guys are running a scam call centre with like 150 people all dialling out using various VPNs to hide their tracks. They pretend it’s some market research but really they’re trying to trick you into handing over personal info which they then sell to other scammers. Been keeping tabs on them for a couple days now since I usually try to expose these scams to help folks avoid getting caught out. Don’t share any details if they ring you!

Lately I've noticed loads of calls from 0161 - so Manchester, I reckon - and it's pretty clear they're using an autodialer. You can tell because after I pick up, there's a little wait before someone actually comes on the line. It’s like they’re trying to hook you up to a real person, but the pause gives it away.

As soon as I picked up the phone, they just cut the call off.

This was for sure spam. They called saying they had three quick questions, but then they started getting weirdly personal, asking things like what brand my washing machine is and if I owned a dog. After that, they tried to pitch some dog food trial. It felt like nonstop nagging, but the creepy thing was they seemed to know quite a bit about me already.
