Right from the start I knew it was a scam, so I decided to mess about a bit, feeding them rubbish details. After a while, I cheekily threw in some flirty comments, just for the fun of it. Got the impression they weren’t too keen on that though, since they started swearing and then just cut me off.

They wanted to speak to someone I’ve never heard of. Told them I had no clue who that was, then they just ended the call.

They called to ask if our monthly gas bills were above £100, what kind of home we live in, our age group and whether we have solar panels installed. Said they'd call again to tell us if we qualify for some sort of grant. Sounds like one of those dodgy scams to me.

Got a call from someone claiming to have a review of a life insurance policy I’ve never had. They kept pushing even after I said it sounded like a scam. When I called them out, they asked, “Why would we want to scam you?” and insisted they just wanted to help me save money on a policy with some company I’m not signed up with. They tried to convince me by mentioning supposed health info they had, but it was stuff anyone could say, like not smoking. Nothing personal or convincing at all.
