Had a few calls from this number but my phone didn’t even make a sound. Strange.

I got a call from this so-called Manchester number, but the voice sounded South African or something like that. When I tried calling back (without showing my number), it said the number isn't in service. Pretty sure it’s not from any real company. The person said they got my number from some list of "car owners" who supposedly might've had a diesel vehicle and signed up for that database. Yeah, right, I doubt that’s true at all.

So the bloke said he was working with a group gathering info for some big lawsuit against diesel car makers and wanted my car’s registration number. I told him I couldn’t remember it, then asked where he’d got my details from because I never signed up for any list like that. Must’ve figured he wasn’t gonna get anywhere with me, ‘cos he then said he’d remove me from their records. If you’re reading this, mate, please do take me off that list and maybe tell the others that calling me won’t get you anywhere. Seriously, hope you find a better, more honest way to spend your time.

So this bloke rings me up and tries to be funny! My missus said instead of squashing the spider, I should take it out. Well, I did just that. We ended up having a couple of drinks together. Turns out he’s a nice chap and apparently does web design for a living. Funny how things turn out!

I keep getting calls from silent numbers on my phone, and when I try to call back, no one picks up. It's definitely a scam, so I wouldn’t bother returning the call as it’s probably some kind of fraud.
