Totally a con! Some woman called me, said her name was Jo, and claimed to be from a nearby energy provider, though she wouldn’t reveal exactly who, which seems dodgy for a legit company. She asked if I had any insulation in the loft, and when I replied with a cheeky "scamming insulation," she didn’t seem to catch on. Then she pushed me to accept a free inspection, and after I firmly declined, she just kept going on like I agreed. I had to cut her off and ask why she was acting like someone who can’t take no for an answer, and wouldn’t you know, she ended the call straight away.

I’m so fed up with getting these annoying calls from energy companies all the time! They just never seem to end. Honestly, I’ve no interest in whatever they’re trying to sell - feels like such a scam. This has been happening forever and still, nobody does anything to put a stop to it!

A lady called claiming to be some sort of energy consultant offering help with insulation. I asked her which company she worked for. She said, "many different firms," then tried to set up a visit from a surveyor to check my home. I said, "No thanks." She then said a surveyor would get in touch once the appointment was booked. I was like, "Appointment? I just said I don't want one." Then she suddenly ended the call.
