I told her we've got a flat-roof bungalow, so no loft at all, and she just said "alright then" and hung up quickly. This is just the typical loft insulation scam, I get these calls all the time.

This number called me twice today. First time I answered and said my name, then after a moment of silence, the woman started reading from a script, so I quickly hung up. The second call I just answered and stayed quiet. Nothing from their end for ages. I reckon the system calls and waits for you to say something before connecting to the operator. They hung up after about half a minute. I left the phone off the hook for around 30 minutes afterwards to try and stop them calling back.

Yesterday I got a call from a scammer, the number was pretty much the same but ended with 2560. Like others mentioned, it’s one of those loft insulation cons. When they rang, I told them straight away that I’ve no loft up here. Still, they had the nerve to ring me again with the same story. It’s mad how these sneaky scammers always dodge being caught. If you’re up for it, try find out where they’re actually from - Manchester’s a long way off from here in Somerset, so not exactly local!
