Picked up the phone and there was silence, then it just hung up. I called back and the number said it was from some company called Smart Compare, but it was like one of those American robot voices. Definitely felt like a scam to me.

They said they were from PC World, but their English was so bad it was nearly impossible to get what they were saying. I really don’t think it was genuine PC World, probably just some scam call from abroad.

I’ve seen this number popped up on this site 557 times, so why hasn’t anyone bothered reporting it to the cops or taking action? I got calls from this number three times just today. One time nobody answered when I picked up, and the other times it was someone trying to pitch online trading to me. I blocked the number now, but given they already have my contact, I bet they’ll just ring back from a different one soon enough.

Didn’t get any voicemail or message, so I’m thinking it’s just another scam. If it was important or genuine, surely they’d have left a proper voicemail, right?
