Be careful with this one, it’s a nasty scam... I’m fairly sharp but still almost got duped! A guy with an Asian accent called himself Alex and claimed we were due a 65% refund on a subscription we supposedly took out on our gadgets back in 2018. He told me the company was shutting down and asked if my debit card ended with 3517, which it definitely didn’t (nor did my husband’s) supposedly to send the refund. Since my husband handles the broadband payments, I handed him the phone. He quickly spotted it wasn’t legit since he’d never heard of that company before.

I didn't pick up since I've already been getting loads of scam calls from Manchester recently and wasn’t waiting for anyone to ring me from there.

They rang me on 20th December 2023 at 11:54, but as soon as I picked up, they just ended the call.

Total scam! Got a call from someone claiming they were with O2 offering a massive 70% discount on my bill - even tho I’m not an O2 customer! They then tried to get my personal info like name and email. Don’t fall for it and never share your details!
