I did a bit of digging online and saw loads of similar reports. I called her out on her bluff, telling her I could figure out her location if she didn’t end the call. As usual, she tried to tempt with a 30% discount. Feel sorry for older folks who might fall for these dodgy calls.3 yearsI got several calls from someone claiming to be O2, using the numbers 0191 743 9320 and 020 4599 6815. They rang me three times with the same person on the line each occasion. They asked for my one-time code, which is meant to access my account. Creepy thing was, they already had my details - my name, address and even how much I pay each month. Now I’m locked out of my account because it seems they were trying to hack into it. O2 did send me some warning texts though, and I've made sure to block those numbers. It’s pretty worrying that these scammers knew so much about me. If you get asked for your code, don’t give it out, even if they say they’re from O2. O2 warns to ignore anyone asking for this.
