Loads of silent calls came through, and when I finally answered, the people said they were from BT but clearly didn’t know what they were on about. Definitely sounded like scammers to me.

Got a call from this number today, let it ring out the first time and didn't pick up. When I did answer the second call, they just cut off straight away. Felt a bit odd.

I just got a call; it only rang one time before hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be 02, saying they wanted to give me a discount. Then they asked for my bank info to switch my direct debit. Felt dodgy from the start, so I’m sure it’s a scam.

I've been hearing this trick so many times now - someone calls claiming they're from O2 offering a big discount, then asks for a second code they say they'll send by text (FYI, the first code clearly says DON'T share it with anyone). If they get that code, they can take over your phone number, rack up expenses with premium texts, or even sell your info. Luckily I handle all 114 O2 phones at work, so I gave those scammers a piece of my mind!

Got a call from some folks in an Indian call centre pretending they’re from Vodafone. They said they had a cracking deal for me on a new contract, but sounded a bit off to me.

I looked up this number before picking up. When it called again about an hour later, I started saying “if this is a scam…” and they just cut me off straight away. Pretty telling, if you ask me!

These lot called me this morning, trying their usual scam about me needing a loan. I played along and said I was rolling in it, asked if they’d like to borrow from me instead. I’m not a millionaire at all, but the awkward silence and stammering before they finally clicked off was priceless 🤣

I got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, trying to help me cut down my bill. I asked her what discount she thought she'd manage to give me, and told her she’d be pretty let down. Then she just ended the call!

Didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar. They didn’t leave a voicemail either, so I’m guessing it was probably a scam call.

The line was dreadful and crackly, caller had a strong Indian accent and mentioned calling from 02 or something like that. I told him I wasn't catching a word due to the poor connection and then just ended the call.

Someone called claiming to be from O2 and said they could give me a massive discount on my monthly bill if I changed the way I pay. I asked for an official O2 number to confirm it, and as soon as they didn’t have one, I just ended the call.

I didnt manage to answer the call because it only rang for a few seconds. But when I checked the number with a reverse phone lookup, I saw its actually a VOIP number. These are online numbers, and ive heard they’re often linked to scam call centres in India pretending to be from the UK.

This morning I got a phone call from some scammers, and honestly, they weren’t as sharp as they assumed. They were pushing me to get a loan through them, so I flipped it and said I’m a millionaire and asked if they’d want a loan from me. I’m not, but the stuttering and hesitation before they cut me off was just priceless lol.

They claimed they were from EE, but honestly, I'm so sick of these random cold calls. Aren't those meant to be banned or something?

This number kept ringing me every day, saying they were from some debt help service. I told them over and over to quit calling, but they just wouldn't listen. I even got a bit rude with them out of frustration, yet they still kept up the calls. In the end, I had no choice but to block it.

I received a call from an individual with an Indian accent who identified himself as being from the Credit Resolution Department. It seemed rather peculiar, as I have no outstanding debts whatsoever. The chap on the other end sounded quite bemused when I informed him of my situation.

Got a call from some Indian call centre pretending to be from a "Credit Resolutioin Department." When I asked what company they were with, they just ended the call straight away. One time, I decided to mess with them a bit, and it turns out they try to either clear your debts or offer you a loan - whatever will get you to give them your bank and card info. Honestly, steer clear of these lot, it’s a complete con!
