I told my husband not to pick up, but of course he didn’t pay attention. We’re not interested in loft insulation anyway, and if we were, we’d go with a trusted firm, not some random cold caller.

This is definitely a scam. Wish there was a way to block them, but it's not like BT or the government can do much since these calls come from places that couldn't care less. With modern digital communications, calls get routed through loads of different servers. The numbers they show are fake and can seem like they're from anywhere in the UK. These calls are generated automatically by computers, hundreds at a time. The only real solution would be to ditch digital communications altogether, but that would crash the entire world economy.

I keep blocking loads of calls from Manchester but they just ring me straight back from a different number! BT really should be embarrassed making money off these scam calls! Maybe the government should take some of BT’s profits linked to these scam calls? Why is no one doing anything about it? BT really couldn’t care less! Honestly, BT should be called out on this - let’s see if they even bother to react!

Been getting loads of calls from different numbers starting with 0161 524, and they always hang up just as I pick up. I’ve decided to block them now.

Just got another call from Twilio Ireland Ltd, about the 15th time since early October. Calls from these numbers usually come from a woman with a typical SE English/London accent, pushing a dodgy loft insulation scam. Here are some of the recent numbers they've used: 01182305764, 0161524(2872), 0161524(3315), 0161524(2962), 0161524(3014), 0161524(8185), 0161524(8442), 02045386370, 0161524(7720), 0161524(8008), and 0161524(7469). It's really about time for a nationwide drive involving local newspapers to expose these scammers and get more folks to report them.

This lady has rang me loads of times from loads of different phone numbers. Every time it’s the same chat. She goes on about insulation. I ask her which company she’s with, she says she’s from some energy hub, but when I ask again for the company name she either just hangs up or keeps insisting she needs to send who I’m guessing is some dodgy person to my place. Then, a few days later, she rings again from a different number and the whole thing repeats.
