It’s a total con, much like several others have mentioned in this space.

When I answered the call, there was complete silence, so I decided to give them another ring. A representative picked up rather quickly and informed me that I was speaking with Energy Hub, mentioning that my loft insulation needed updating and asking if I’d like to schedule a survey. I explained that I’m merely a tenant and that she would need to discuss it with my landlord instead. She appreciated my response and ended the call.

I received a rather convincing call from a voice that sounded almost human, warning me about potential hazards related to loft insulation and promoting a survey. If you pressed them with questions or posed something more than once, they’d either repeat the entire pitch or just abruptly end the conversation. It gave me a rather uneasy feeling, considering how realistic it all sounded. Just a word of caution to everyone!
