Got a phone ring from 0161 5241082 at 11:16 this morning, Tuesday the 5th of December 2023. Didn't let it through, I blocked the call straight away.

This number has rung me up three times now and it’s seriously starting to annoy me. How do these folks manage not to get caught? It’s so irritating. Surely what they’re doing breaks some kind of law, and someone must be aware of who’s behind it and where they’re based. After all, someone’s gotta be footing the bill for the phone line. What’s going on with the world these days?

I’m registered with the TPS but it seems like it barely does anything. These dodgy calls keep coming, and those stubborn cold callers just won’t quit. They never remove your number from their lists, and honestly, how do they even get hold of not just your phone number but other info about you? It’s beyond irritating, really more than that. The TPS definitely needs a rethink, because the current setup just doesn’t block these types of calls. One week it’s an offer for appliance insurance, then next it’s some kind of personal cover or something else.

I received a call from a chap claiming he wanted to "enhance" the warranty on my washing machine, but he insisted on having my banking details to proceed. Utter nonsense, obviously a scam!

Never heard of that number from Manchester before, so I just ignored it. Didn’t bother listening to any voicemail or anything, I just blocked it straight away. Definitely felt like a scam, no way I’m taking that call again.

Sounds like a total scam to me! They boasted about cutting the cost on my washing machine insurance, so I asked them which machine it was for. They said a Hoover washing machine, but I haven’t owned one for over 15 years, and I don’t even have insurance for any machine anymore. When I told them to insure my current washer, I said I couldn’t afford it. They just hung up on me straight away!
