Loads of calls recently from people pretending to be O2, but it's all a scam. They try to trick you into giving them a code, which they then use to hijack your O2 account. Definitely don’t trust these calls!

They rang me but just cut off straight away. Gave the impression it was some call centre doing the rounds.

Got an autodialler repeatedly ringing my phone even though I opted out. Here’s what worked for me to deal with those annoying calls: * Pick up the call but keep yourself on mute - since the autodialler can’t detect any noise, it usually hangs up pretty quickly. Also, this makes it drop your number from its callback list. * Make a note of the number showing on your screen, then send a text saying “Call [that number]” to 7726 to alert your phone provider so they can take steps.
