Reports on phone number 01615236102
9 yearsI received a call from someone inquiring if I was the owner of a computer. They already had my name, which raised a red flag for me. I informed them I believed it to be a scam, and promptly they ended the call. How can I go about reporting this?9 yearsToday, I received a rather unsettling call from a chap named Samuel, who insisted he was from Microsoft. He claimed that my licence was under threat and that they could potentially shut it down. To be honest, his accent was a bit thick, and I found myself having to replay his questions numerous times to grasp what he was on about. He even rattled off my licence number, which truly unnerved me. It quickly dawned on me that he wanted remote access to my computer, and that’s when my instincts kicked in. I firmly told him there was no way I was granting him access. He seemed intent on keeping me on the line, asking when my husband would be home so he could speak to him too. I finally had enough and hung up the phone. Can anyone offer guidance on whether I should report this or just let it go?SamuelMicrosoft9 yearsThis number has been bothering me, ringing up to ask for my name and whether I own a computer, claiming "we can supply you with the tech you require for your device upkeep." I can’t shake off my distrust, so I ended the call. It’s honestly the third time this has happened now!Submit Your Own Report (0161 523 6102)
