Received a call this morning from this number, which I’ve discovered online is yet another nuisance caller. I've taken to only picking up calls from numbers I recognise on my display and am now in the habit of researching unknown numbers. If I find out they're just another annoying telemarketer, I make sure to report them.

Received a mysterious call from 01615235689 at around 16:35, but when I tried to call it back, the line was dead-absolutely no luck! Thankfully, I’ve got a number barring plan that sets me back just £3.25 a month. It allows me to block up to ten numbers monthly, and this dodgy one’s made the cut! I’m still in the dark about who was on the other end, but a quick search revealed a slew of complaints about this number. Quite the curious situation, to say the least!

I received a recorded call and, curious, pressed 2. I ended up chatting with someone named Natasha. I informed her that we’re registered with the Telephone Preference Service and asked how they obtained our number. She abruptly hung up on me. I received a missed call and decided to check it by calling 1571 and 1471. When I contacted BT for clarification, they informed me that the number was non-existent, despite having provided it to me beforehand. Quite baffling, if you ask me!

It's an absolute bother, and if you try to return the call, BT says the number isn't valid! This raises suspicions that there might be some clever trickery going on with call waiting, making it look as if it's more than just an 'international' call. I've gone ahead and reported it to the ICO.
