They said they were from HMRC and told me to ring a solicitor quick because it was urgent. The voice sounded totally robotic, like no real person was talking. Definitely just a recorded message.

They were meant to say I needed to ring them back or have my lawyer get in touch, not just to ignore the call or anything like that.

I got a call from someone saying they were HMRC, accusing me of fraud out of the blue. It’s really upsetting being blamed for something I didn’t do. They even said I’d brought serious trouble on myself just for hanging up. Such terrible conduct!
