I received a call from an unidentified number purporting to be from Manchester. They didn’t answer when I picked up, and subsequently hung up. Upon researching the number, it appears to be linked to something called Penny Pot Cleaners, but that name means absolutely nothing to me. It’s rather suspicious, especially since they didn’t leave a voicemail-just a missed call! Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

Received a call I didn't ask for and there was quite a lengthy pause when I picked up the phone - so I decided to just end the call.

Had the usual delay before the line connected, and I could hear the chatter of a call centre in the background. They didn’t even give me a chance to respond. I reckon it was just another nuisance call.

I received a phone call from a chap claiming to be from Currys, attempting to persuade me to purchase a new iPhone at a bargain price. He then followed up with a dodgy email that was clearly not from Currys. To make matters worse, he's been bombarding me with calls and messages on WhatsApp as well! Definitely steer clear-it's all a ruse!

I picked up the call, but they immediately disconnected.

I could hear the distinct hum of a call centre in the background before they abruptly ended the call. It’s just the sort of dodgy behaviour I'd expect from these types! I've since added the number to my blocked list.
