Picked up and the call ended right away, so I blocked the number straight away.

Today I only got 1 call from them, but yesterday they rang me 4 times - I’ve blocked all those numbers now: 0161 520 2823, 0161 520 2827, 0161 520 2034, and 0161 520 2831. I picked up one of the calls and told them to take me off their calling list, but somehow I still got another call this morning. Such a hassle.

Got a call from someone claiming to be a government charity that helps with clearing small debts. They said they got my info somewhere and wanted to chat about what kind of debt I owe and the amount. I told them I wasn’t comfortable sharing and asked why it was any of their business, then just ended the call.

I put my info into totallymoney.com for a work project and the site clearly states that nobody will ever phone you and it won’t affect your credit score 'cos it’s a free service. But just 10 seconds after I put the phone down, some really rude bloke with a Middle Eastern accent rang me asking about my debts. I told him it was for work and just ended the call. Honestly, feels like these sites are sketchy and might be harvesting info. Best to steer clear and block them completely.
