I just got a call from someone claiming they were calling from the Philippines, talking really fast about loft insulation and some company called Thermal Selections. The guy had an Asian accent, said his name was Nathan. He was super persistent, kept pushing that they were working on government loft insulation deals. Didn’t want to take any breaks, kept rattling off sales jargon. What’s funny is how they stick to their script so rigidly, no matter what you say, and then they wrap up with “I’m not able to answer those questions”. It’s like they’re programmed or something.

This number rang me and since it was a mobile, I picked up. The guy on the other end immediately started saying my name and address and asked me about some sun life policy. Thing is, I don’t even have one! I told him that but was just baffled how he knew all that stuff. Not aggressive or anything, just weird... how do they even get hold of our personal info like that?
