I got a call from a person with a thick accent saying they were from Carphone Warehouse and could give me half price on my plan. I told them I’d just done an upgrade, but then they kept repeating the same question about whether I had a contract or not. It felt quite off, so I ended up hanging up. They come across as credible, so I reckon they could easily trick someone who isn’t careful.

I got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming they were ringing from Curry’s in Manchester. As soon as I heard that, I just ended the call. Seems like a total scam to me. It’s really frustrating, and I wish there was some way to put a stop to these dodgy calls.

The moment you confront them and ask them to stop contacting you, their response only reinforces that it’s all a con. Yet, they persist, ringing me over and over again. Stay vigilant!

Today, on the 27th of May 2022, I received a call on my mobile from the number 0161 520 2314. After some consideration, I've flagged it as a SCAM and promptly blocked the caller. I’m not sure who they are, but I’m relieved that I didn’t pick up the phone. It seems to be from a landline, and all signs point to it being a fraudulent attempt.
