I got a call from a person with a thick accent saying they were from Carphone Warehouse and could give me half price on my plan. I told them I’d just done an upgrade, but then they kept repeating the same question about whether I had a contract or not. It felt quite off, so I ended up hanging up. They come across as credible, so I reckon they could easily trick someone who isn’t careful.

I got a call from someone with a strong Indian accent claiming they were ringing from Curry’s in Manchester. As soon as I heard that, I just ended the call. Seems like a total scam to me. It’s really frustrating, and I wish there was some way to put a stop to these dodgy calls.

This is definitely a SCAM aimed at stealing your info. They keep calling from different numbers like 0161 and 202046 with offers that sound way too good to be true. When you tell them to stop, their way of talking really makes it clear they're not legit. Still, they don't seem to care and just keep ringing back again and again.

Today, 27th May 2022, I got a call on my mobile from 0161 520 2314. I didn’t pick up because it looked like a landline, and it turned out to be a scam. I’ve now blocked the number and reported it as suspicious. No clue who they were trying to be, but glad I was careful and didn’t answer.
