However, the deals seemed far too tempting to be genuine. On top of that, the chap on the line had a rather unconvincing foreign accent, which raised my suspicions even further.

Got a call from some bloke saying he was from Carphone Warehouse or something like that. He was an Indian guy with a really funny accent, asking about what phone I use. I told him straight away I’m not linked to the company he said he was from, so I refused to give any info and just ended the call. Definitely feels like one of those scam calls with a fake number.

Got a call supposedly from Manc, but I’m not sure who it could be. No message was left either, so I just figured it must be a spam caller.

got a call from a woman with an asian accent saying my pc was sending warning messages to the windows servers, claimed she was certified by microsoft and wanted me to let her log in to fix it, had a bit of a chat but told her i wasnt bothered, took about 5 mins, hope it stops someone getting caught out by this trick!

Just saw a missed call from this number on my phone but there was no voicemail or anything. I think a very similar number rang me a few days ago, maybe it’s the same marketing firm? I’m not keen on calling back since I don’t recognise it - could be some automated scammer checking if the number’s live. Don’t really want them to know my line’s active.
