Strangely, they already had my address on hand and proceeded to ask for my date of birth. I wasn't comfortable sharing that information, so I declined. When I attempted to return the call, I was informed that the number was invalid. Quite concerning!

A man with a really thick Indian accent rang me, and oddly enough, he called me Mr with my first name, but he didn’t seem to know my last name or where I lived exactly. He did somehow know my postcode though and was asking for the rest of my address. He claimed my PPI claim went through and said they’d be putting £2,752 straight into my bank. I told him if it was true, to post me the official documents because I’m not giving out my bank info on the phone. Definitely a scam.

I just received a text claiming to be from O2, saying that I’ve missed a call, yet I haven't had any call from them at all. It’s asking me to press some buttons to stop the messages. This has been happening for the last year!

In the space of a day, we got two calls from the same number. My hubby picked up the first one, and they were asking for me by my full name. When he wanted to know who it was, the line went dead. The next time they rang, there was nothing but silence before it cut off. Quite strange!

Got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming his name was Sam. When I told him my number's on the Mobile Preference Service, he instantly got furious and started swearing. I received a call from this number, and the individual claimed to be inquiring about repairs for the property I'm currently occupying. Just to clarify, I actually own my home. So, when I questioned him with, "Oh, am I residing in a rented place then?" he abruptly ended the conversation.
