So this woman calls me and I'm not even sure she knows her own name, the way she was chatting. Started going on about boilers and insulation deals or something. I told her I’m employed at a builders merchant, so if cash was an issue I could just nick what I needed, haha. Then I asked if she was planning an extension, offered to hook her up with some bricks and cement at a good price. She just snapped at me to shut up and stop calling her. Fair enough, I guess.

I replied negatively to all her questions since, to be honest, I was a bit unsure about the legitimacy of the call. Subsequently, she just cut off the conversation. Notably, she didn't request any of my personal information nor did she confirm any details like my address. It was the 0161 number (which isn’t local to my area) that raised my eyebrows and prompted me to dig a little deeper into the matter.
