I've been inundated with calls from 0161 768 1211 lately. It's become quite the nuisance! No matter how many times I block the number, they keep ringing me using slightly altered last four digits. It’s absolutely infuriating! What a right bother!

I was hesitant to answer as it was a number I didn't recognise. However, when it rang a second time, curiosity got the better of me, so I finally picked up. To my bewilderment, the person on the other end didn’t utter a single word! I attempted to return the call, but the line seemed permanently engaged. How odd!

I accidentally picked up a call, and a woman with a rather dodgy and flirtatious tone started chatting me up, asking for my name. Naturally, I provided her with a made-up one. She spun a tale about her father's passing and claimed to be affiliated with a charity that supposedly helps folks in similar situations. She started to jiggle on about signing up on social media to donate, but I had to tell her I don’t use any social media platforms like Facebook, TikTok, or Instagram - just WhatsApp, really. It was clear as day she was spinning me a yarn. Then she asked for my bank details, claiming she’d transfer me to the “donations department,” which I suspect was just her underage boyfriend lurking about in her bedroom. When I got through to this so-called department, they wanted all my personal information again, including my email. I gave them a completely different name from the one I’d told her, along with a fake address and email. When they asked for my bank details, I just made up a bunch of random digits. They were beyond frustrated when their attempts to process the “donation” failed miserably! The operator on the other end was practically fuming, getting all worked up as we repeated the nonsense numbers over and over. It was utterly hilarious, and with his rage escalating, it almost felt like he was about to burst. I could hear some lady in the background asking him why he couldn't “last long”! I was in stitches at these scammers - he gave up and hung up on me in the end. I genuinely hope these con artists catch a whiff of this comment. They really ought to sort themselves out by not being in existence at all.

They really should quit ringing me every single day, it's proper harassment.

Today I got a call on Viber about some sort of bonus thingy. I just hung up straight away and blocked the number. Then they tried ringing me on WhatsApp, but I didn’t pick up.

They called me about life insurance or something similar, kept saying I had spoken to them before which is total rubbish. I didn’t answer, just blocked the number. Seriously, when are these annoying calls gonna end? And what’s the point of the so-called authorities if they don’t do anything to put a stop to this crap!

This number keeps getting in touch, ringing for a good stretch each time. I’ve picked up a couple of times, but all I get is a strange click before they just hang up. Quite odd, really!

I got a call today that I never asked for and definitely didn’t want. Feels like harassment to me. If you’re legit, just stop bothering me, but if you’re running some sort of scam, maybe try finding a proper job instead.

I wasn't able to answer the call as it didn’t make it through my screening process, so it’s likely just a predictive dialler. Since I'm on the Telephone Preference Service list, I can safely assume it's not from a trustworthy organisation.

this number keeps ringin me up a couple times daily. I usually dodge calls from unknown numbers unless they keep ringing non-stop for like 12 or 14 rings, cos that’s when their phone stops callin. if it goes on past that, i figure it might be somethin important and give it a shot. but this one’s annoyin me too much, so i’ll be blocking it soon enough.

This number rang my phone for the third time so I picked up. Some young guy said he was from Best Comparison and was checking in about a chat I supposedly had with someone from their team earlier this year about life insurance. I firmly told him I never had that talk and this was just a scam call, so to stop ringing me and delete my number from their records. As I was about to hang up, I caught him saying sorry for the inconvenience. I reckon I'll just block this number now on my phone.

Today, on the 13th of October 2021, I received a call at precisely 10:51. Upon answering, there was a brief moment of quiet followed by an unending tone. Is this perhaps some sort of auto-dialler?

Received a call at half past one, it rang six times before cutting off. My digging suggests it's likely some sort of advertising nonsense. I'll be ignoring it from now on.

What utter rubbish. Just block the number and forget about it.

I didn't recognise the caller's number, so I opted not to pick up. It rang for what felt like ages, which left me pondering whether to answer. However, I stayed resolute and decided to investigate later, only to discover it was yet another scam attempt.
