For the last several weeks, I've been bombarded with daily calls from this lot. I've tried blocking their numbers, but they just keep ringing from new ones. I answered once, and some chap with an Indian accent asked for me by name. I told him he’d got the wrong number, but he simply hung up. Still, the calls persist. I've taken the step of blocking all numbers that start with 0161 520 so they get automatically rejected, yet they still seem intent on getting through. Has anyone got any advice on how to put an end to this?

Called three times without a response. When I said hello, it fell silent. Attempted to call back, but it states that the number doesn't exist.

I received a call from a lady purporting to be with the Council's Repair Service, claiming she was linked to a governmental organisation. Quite frankly, I had no intention of entertaining such drivel, so I promptly terminated the call and blocked the number. I would strongly recommend others take similar action.

I've received countless calls from this number, and every time I answer, the line goes dead. However, today was different; an Asian gentleman was on the other end when I picked up. It really set me off, to be honest. He mentioned he wanted to ask me a handful of questions about my home. To my surprise, he not only knew my name but also my address and postcode. Then he asked me which age group I belonged to. I firmly told him he had no permission to keep bothering me and that I was going to report him. He ended the call rather abruptly after that.
