I keep receiving calls from this number, yet they never bother to leave a message. It's quite persistent, really.

+44 161 250 9302 Got an automated American voice saying they’re an ‘officer’ from HMRC. Said I had to ring back urgently because it was a time-sensitive issue. Seriously, how blatant can it be? 😂

O2 said I was a loyal customer and there was some great deals for me, then started asking for my full name, address and postcode, so I just ended the call.

Total scam, dont pick up!

They claimed to be from O2, said my first name and asked me to verify my full name. I told them they already have that info. He said he still needs it for security reasons. I said my phone flagged the number as potential fraud so he told me not to worry and to check my messages. I said I wasn’t convinced and ended the call. Later I saw a text supposedly from O2 with a 6 digit code asking to confirm access to change my account. Don’t know how they got that message sent, but glad I didn’t fall for it and hung up.

It's definitely a call centre on the other end.

They said they were from additional contracts or o2 or something. I asked for my details and they couldn’t get past my security questions. Complete nonsense. Just hang up on them!

Total scumbags, best to just ignore their calls.

Get in touch with o2 support, they said this isn’t from o2. Never give out any of your personal info to callers who ask for it.

It was a scam call, they said they were from T Mobile about my account. I’m not even a T Mobile customer. I just blocked the number.

They said they were from o2, but after a couple of minutes chatting I was done trying to act like it wasn’t a scam. Totally rubbish job, they even had the name from my O2 account but when I gave a fake address like “4 on your bike lane” they just went along with it.

They said they were O2, but it's a total scam.

They claimed to be from T-Mobile and mentioned some deals, but gave me the wrong name. When I said I’m not a T-Mobile customer, they got really rude.

Got a call from someone pretending to be 02, total scam alert.

Terrible way to get in touch, I ended up giving my address since they asked for nothing else. Checked the app right away to see if it was genuine and updated my details manually. Then I noticed my O2 app had changed my tariff without warning. Seriously bad approach, O2. You’ve got an app, so why not just use that properly?

Someone said they was from O2 with some sort of loyalty deal. It all sounded pretty legit, even got a text that looked like it was from O2. But if it was truly O2, they’d probably have a more official way to reach their regular customers. I chose not to give out any info. The bloke stayed polite and said he got where I was coming from.

Not sure who they are, they keep ringing but I keep missing the calls. After reading what others said, I think I’ll just block the number.
