Someone called asking for my boss by his name, but when I told them he wasn’t in, they just ended the call. So, I called the number back and it showed up as PHMG, which I found out is a marketing firm.

Got a call out of the blue from someone who'd obviously just grabbed my name off Companies House. At first, they said they were from PH Group, then switched to Valent Roofing. When I asked them to leave a message, they said it’d take too long and promised to send an email instead - yeah, right, looking forward to that!

Got a call out of the blue from someone asking to talk to the company director.

Got a ring from this bloke with an English accent, asking for the director by his first name. I had no clue who the guy was or what sort of job he did. When I asked what it was about, he just wouldn’t say and didn’t want to leave a message either. Feels like one of those dodgy cold calls or a scam, if you ask me.
