Just got a call from 0161 573 0785, and it was one of those automated messages saying I was involved in some fraud case and I’d be arrested if I didn’t connect right away. They said they were from HMRC. I looked up the number online and found loads of people saying it’s a scam. I’m sure it traps some folks who aren’t that good with the internet, and it'd freak them out thinking it was legit. Proper nasty tactic really!

Honestly, I beg you, don’t shut down this number! It’s been the most entertaining thing I’ve done in a long time - honestly, way more fun than anything else! I’ve gone along with all sorts of characters: a dodgy Nigerian scammer, a Jamaican weed peddler, a Scottish sheep herder who also dabbles in speed, a pregnant Indian woman in labour, and even a blind bloke wandering around Harrods. Please, please don’t let them stop answering when I ring!

Got a call from a guy named Brian Leeach, sounded Asian, claiming I owed HMRC nearly £4700 in unpaid taxes from like 2014 to 2018. While we were chatting, I googled the number and this site popped up straight away - definitely a scam. I told him he was trying to scam me and that I was about to hang up, but he cut the call first.

This number 01615130733 kept ringing me a few times. When I called back, some guy with an Asian accent said he was from HMRC. I asked him a couple of times to say again who he was, but he just kept insisting he worked for HMRC. I told him straight up I didn’t believe him, and then he said sorry and ended the call. Definitely feels like a scam. Watch out!

So, these scammers called me pretending to be from HMRC, but little did they know, I'm actually a proper officer with UK Border Force, having official HMRC credentials and the authority to arrest. Had a laugh messing about with them for a bit!
