Claims Direct keep ringing up pretending to offer compensation for council and housing association tenants over poor repairs! I told them I was an ICO investigator and they quickly hung up! Absolute muppets milking the system or just dumb! STAY WELL CLEAR! They call from numbers ending in 72 and 71, probably sequence generated! Dead easy to spot these idiots, sounds like they’re overseas, maybe Bangalore, 'cause you can hear other idiots babbling in the background!

Got a call from 01615119173 this morning. Seemed like a new tactic! The person said they were contacting all council tenants about any repairs that needed sorting in their homes. When I asked which council they represented, they said they were an independent firm hired to call every tenant about any outstanding repairs. I told them I only deal with my own local council and ended the call. I've reported it to our local council, who said they'll pass it on to Trading Standards.

Just got a call from this number, they claimed to be some sort of government dept offering financial help to social housing tenants because of damages and missed repairs during Covid times. I work in the housing sector and can say for sure this is completely fake, no such scheme exists. This is definitely a con.
