Got a call from some bloke saying he was from the phone company, talking about switching my landline to fibre-optic and asking about my internet. I told him the upgrade happened ages ago, so clearly he was a scammer who didn’t even know what he was on about. Then he started getting rude and just hung up on me.

I just waited for it to hit my answerphone but they didn’t leave any message even tho it was picked up. Blocked now for sure.

Got a call from a bloke who claimed he got my details from my landline company - never mentioned which one though, which made me suspicious right away. He said since I’m on a pension, they’d be cutting £10 off my monthly charges. The guy even went as far as saying I must be living on a tight pension, like trying to be all sympathetic or something. That’s when I just ended the call sharpish; there’s no way I’m sharing any personal info with possible scammers. If my actual provider wanted to change anything about my bill, they’d send a letter, not call out of the blue like that.

I got a call from someone pretending to be with BT, which felt really dodgy. When I asked if they were calling from Mumbai or Kolkata, they suddenly got really upset. Definitely a scammer to watch out for!
