Got a call from someone claiming to be UK today asking loads of questions about my household. When I tried to find out what exactly UK today was, they just cut me off and ended the call. Really strange behaviour!

They had my full name from the start and started asking stuff about my home life.

The moment I picked up, the call ended straight away, which makes me think it’s some kind of auto dialler just checking which numbers are live. Telemarketers use this method to figure out who actually answers so they can follow up with a real call later on. When I sold Kirby vacuums, their phone reps used similar tricks to build up a list of potential buyers.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon saying my Prime account was hacked - total scam! Problem is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! What a load of rubbish.
