5 yearsI've been receiving calls regarding online trading, and I suspect they're not on the up and up-definitely a scam!5 yearsThis number rang me multiple times before I finally caved and picked up the call instead of simply blocking it straight away. Turns out it's a call centre based in China. They somehow had my maiden name, which I haven't used in over a decade! Clearly, they're sifting through some outdated databases, claiming they want to assist with investments I might have recently looked into. Funny, considering they haven’t had a clue about my married name in all that time! They introduced themselves as a British firm called FinaCapital, but I couldn’t find a trace of them online. I challenged them on their supposed British credentials and told them their website seemed non-existent. They were clearly aware of my previous investments and were keen to have a chat. I firmly stated that I wouldn’t divulge any information until they provided their company registration number. The chap seemed taken aback by my request but eventually agreed to share it. He started off with "0888Z..." and I burst into fits of laughter; there’s no way a registration number includes a letter! I pointed out his obvious fabrication and accused him of being a scammer. He promptly hung up on me! Just a heads up to everyone-best to block that number and stay safe.
