9 yearsAs a Methodist Minister, I received a rather concerning call on the 23rd of November from a woman claiming to represent a charity focused on children with cancer. She mentioned that we had a conversation back in the summer, claiming to have a security word that I supposedly provided-my grandson's name, which made them sound quite credible. She went on to say we had discussed the church possibly offering some support for them as a one-off donation. Although I don’t recollect such a chat, I ended up believing her and inadvertently shared my bank card information along with my postcode and house number so they could send me further details. I regret falling for this.9 yearsI received a call today from someone claiming to be affiliated with a children's cancer charity, asking to speak with one of our directors by name. He insisted my colleague was supposedly a supporter of their cause. Naturally, I refused to transfer the call, which seemed to irritate him quite a bit. I told him straight out that I doubted his intentions and suspected him of being a scam artist! Lo and behold, the director was right beside me and promptly interjected that he certainly had never agreed to any such thing. Total scammers, I tell you!9 yearsToday, I received a call from a chap who was after one of our directors. He claimed to represent a children's cancer organisation and insisted that the director had pledged his backing. I refused to connect the call, which seemed to get under his skin. I straight up told him I believed he was nothing more than a scam artist! As it turned out, the director was right beside me and he emphatically stated, "I definitely did not!" Talk about dodgy characters! SCAMMERS abound!9 yearsReceived a call today from someone inquiring about one of our directors. They claimed to represent a children’s cancer charity and insisted the director had previously expressed support. I wasn’t about to let this chap have a word with him, which seemed to really ruffle his feathers. I flat out told him I suspected he was up to no good! The director was literally beside me, and he exclaimed, “Not on your life!” Talk about SCAMMERS!!!9 yearsThis number just won't stop ringing! They've been phoning me incessantly every single day. It's absolutely ridiculous! I've finally had enough and decided to block them.9 yearsI recently received a call from someone purporting to represent a firm that’s not linked to any insurance companies. They mentioned they were looking into several calls that I allegedly received regarding a car accident I supposedly had a role in. To be honest, I’m quite sceptical about the whole thing and have no intention of divulging any personal information to them. It all seems a bit dodgy to me!9 yearsThese aggressive claim seekers really need to check their approach. You should have seen their faces drop when I told them I hadn’t been in any mishap; it felt as though they blamed me for it! They’ve got a bit of a chip on their shoulder, it seems.Submit Your Own Report (0161 507 7607)
