I asked him to just post me a cheque instead, but he kept saying he didn’t need any bank info, just that I should check my balance. I didn’t open my banking app though. Since the number was from Manchester, I asked for their office address so I could sort it out face-to-face. Before I could get any info, he just hung up. Definitely sounded dodgy to me.5 yearsGot a call from someone claiming to be with Virgin Media, telling me my wifi was slow and they’d sort it out for free. I wasn’t sure at first but kept listening.
