I got a call out of the blue from DPG asking if I’d sorted a will and funeral plan, which I already have. They offered a free will update if I took out a plan with them. When I mentioned my existing funeral plan provider, I found out DPG is pulling their FCA application and might owe refunds to customers. They sent me paperwork about the plan but nothing was signed by a person (which seemed dodgy), plus they’re not regulated. There’s no clear mention of a cooling-off period either. After reading through the other comments here, it really feels like a scam. Properly worried about it all.

total scam about wills and estate stuff. they kept asking for loads of private details. i pretended to be interested for a while just to keep them busy then ended the call and blocked the number. steer well clear!

Got a call saying something about my will, and I could tell it was dodgy straight away. So I just pretended to be interested and kept going with it. In the end, I reckon I really wound the bloke up because he got proper annoyed. I wasn’t having any of it and told him to jog on. Watch out though, they’re usually fishing for your bank info!

Got a call from a woman who sounded asian and said she was with dpg estate planning. She knew my name and launched straight into talking about wills and funerals. I told her i wasn’t interested and ended the call. Usually I don’t pick up unknown numbers but this was local so i thought why not. Now blocked!
