This number keeps ringing me, pretending to be Octopus Energy. I’m a proper customer of theirs and they never make random calls like this. It’s pretty clear these are scammers. They’ve been ringing for months but only lately started saying they’re Octopus. Plus, even though the number is from Manchester, I told them Octopus don’t even operate there. They had the cheek to say the call was from a centre in Wales! I’ve informed Octopus about this fake outfit pretending to be them. If you’re with Octopus and get a call from this number, I'd recommend reporting it too.

Got a call from Octopus Energy, they said I was responsible for the bill. I told them where I live is rented accommodation, and my bills are already covered with the rent! Not sure how they got my phone number in the first place. I've blocked the number now.

I called this number back after loads of missed calls (I usually don’t pick up from numbers I don’t know) over the past week. Turned out to be someone from Octopus Energy trying to see if I wanted to switch energy deals. I told them to remove me from their calling list. The person was quite polite, but still, it’s annoying as they keep ringing quite frequently!
