Received a call from 01615053940 claiming to be from Amazon, warning me about an automatic charge of around £90 to keep my account active. Honestly, it felt like a scam. I get that folks need to earn money, but seriously, where's the honesty these days? It's just not right.

Im so over random calls from people Ive never met showing up on my phone.

They called from ‘magnum claims’ saying they've already mailed me some documents and wanted to check if I got them. Then, they just ended the call and I blocked the number.

Just got a call from some company about doing work on the house. I told them I wasn’t interested and to stop calling.

somebody rang me up knowing my number and even my name. they said I’m listed on some nationwide marketing list. brought up the recent awful weather and talked about “government funding” stuff. clearly they haven’t bothered checking the telephone preference service or just don’t care, which makes them dodgy in my book. I’m going to report them to tps, though not sure if it’ll do much.

A lovely woman rang me once more, chatting about the awful weather we’ve been having. She asked whether I was the homeowner, if I’m over 81, and if any repairs had been done to the roof or walls in the last decade. After I answered, she told me I qualified and said someone senior would call me back. I’m not sure we’ll actually use whatever they’re offering though.

Picked up the call but nobody spoke, just weird noises like a busy call centre with rude voices in the background! Honestly, don’t waste your time calling 0161505094 back!

Somebody rang saying they were from a land measuring company. I just said no thanks and ended the call.

Someone told me about free funding for improvements and said they’d ring me later. Next thing I know, I get a call from 0012012014587, looks like it’s coming from the US. Strange!

Just as I was cooking lunch, a really nice woman phoned me up. She started talking about homeowners and the awful weather we’ve had lately. I told her it was actually bright and sunny here in Blackpool, then asked what the call was about. She said something like “private funding is now offered in your region.” I quickly told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call there.

I received a call from this number earlier today. They hung up as soon as my voicemail started recording, which definitely suggests it’s a dodgy or scammer type.
