About three years back, I got a call asking if I was interested in HelloFresh. I answered them in Welsh, and after that, they never tried contacting me again. Honestly, I reckon the nice reviews are just made up by the company behind the scam. No one in their right mind would actually fall for these daft scams.

This isn't a scam, just a marketing call from Hello Fresh. They're ringing about a contest you joined on social media where you probably ticked a box agreeing to get calls. If you're not up for marketing calls, just pay more attention when you enter these online competitions. They don’t ask for personal info on the call and everything happens through their website.

Got a code from HelloFresh, looks legit since they dont ask for any payment info when you call. They just send the discount code and you go ahead and order your box on their site yourself. Pretty straightforward.

They claimed to be from Food Fresh and told me I'd been picked through Facebook for some special discounts. Then they started asking about what kind of phone I had, like if it was Mobile, Apple, or Android, plus what laptop I use, and if I could check my settings. Totally not having it!

Honestly, such a pain! Got these calls starting a couple weeks back and now I’m getting like 10 a day. Luckily my phone is clever enough to flag possible fraud so I don’t pick up. These fraudsters are ringing from UK landlines but they're definitely from overseas. They’re raking in millions off people who don’t stand a chance, otherwise they wouldn’t keep going. It's rare these crooks get caught but the real way to tackle it is by shutting down firms that sell groups of UK numbers and the tech that lets calls be made anonymously from anywhere. If you keep getting these calls, email your MP with all the info and push for laws against those companies. I’ve done this myself, but it takes loads of messages to different MPs before you see any progress.
