Got a bloke on the phone who claimed to have my name. Said he was "from the Energy Advisory Service in Oxfordshire." He gave his name as Matthew and said "It’s been ages since your loft insulation was done, you need a top-up." I asked if he was funded by the government, and he said yes. Then I asked if he checks with family members about these decisions, and he said yes, then suddenly he just cut the call!!! Watch out for this one!!!

Somebody rang me up claiming they wanted to go over my insurance details. First off, they got my name wrong and didn’t believe me when I said I had just checked my policy myself. They kept asking stuff about it, which I thought was odd since surely they’d already have that info if it was a proper review call. I questioned them on it, and then she said I was being rude and hung up after I told her to ring back once she had her story straight. Bit frustrating, really.
