What a palaver! I clearly stated that I wanted to be taken off their call list, but the bloke had the audacity to say he didn’t even have one. After I mentioned my lack of interest, he insisted he wasn’t done chatting. Had to remind him that our little exchange had reached its grand finale post-haste. I’ve now added his number to my blocked contacts. Good riddance!

This is a call centre that takes on contracts from various businesses. The workers there get used for scams a lot. Most of them really dislike their jobs and aren’t given proper training or told much about what they’re meant to be selling. Their pay and job security depend on how well they perform, which leads to a really toxic atmosphere. So what ends up happening is people get rude on calls, but it’s really just a desperate call for help. It’s honestly awful.

They first wanted to talk to my husband, but when I said he was at work they just kept going. I asked what the call was regarding, and they asked if we had Life Insurance. I said yes, then they went on about how because people are living longer, our cover probably isn’t enough. Felt like a scam straight away, so I ended the call. I jotted down their number and looked it up here. Looks like I was spot on with the scam suspicion.
